Zach Lavine wins 2021 NBA Slam Dunk Contest
Aaron Gordon, Will Barton, and Andre Drummond also competed in the contest
Lavine wins the contest with a perfect score on his final dunk
Zach Lavine of the Chicago Bulls won the 2021 NBA Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night, defeating Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic in the final round. Lavine's winning dunk was a between-the-legs windmill dunk that he scored a perfect 50 on. Gordon finished second with a score of 47 on his final dunk, a dunk over the Magic mascot Stuff the Magic Dragon.
Will Barton of the Denver Nuggets and Andre Drummond of the Cleveland Cavaliers also competed in the contest. Barton finished third with a score of 45 on his final dunk, a between-the-legs dunk off the backboard. Drummond finished fourth with a score of 43 on his final dunk, a dunk over two people.
Lavine's win is his first Slam Dunk Contest victory. He is the first Bulls player to win the contest since Michael Jordan in 1988. Lavine is also the first player to win the contest with a perfect score on his final dunk since Jason Richardson in 2003.
