Episode II: Attack of the Clones is a 2002 American science fiction film directed by George Lucas and the second installment in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The film follows Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) as they investigate an assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) and uncover a plot to destroy the Republic.

Ten years after the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, the galaxy is facing a new threat. Amidst a fierce battle on Geonosis, the true nature of Darth Sidious, the mysterious Sith Lord who has been manipulating the events of the Clone Wars, is finally revealed.
